Whether you're going for a couple of hours on the saddle, a day ride, a weekend break or a whole cycling holiday, the node-to-node cycling network enables you to easily navigate your way around Flemish Brabant on two wheels for as long as you want. In total, the network offers 2,150 km of bicycle-friendly roads and paths through stunning landscapes and several towns and cities.
So, how does it work? Simply plan a route and note down the node numbers you'll be passing in the correct order. Next, hop on your bike and ride your route from number to number — from node to node, in other words — by following the signs. There's no limit on how many nodes you can combine. The map lists the distances between each node, the incline, the sights, the bike-friendly cafés and any bike-friendly accommodation. It couldn't be any easier!
The cycling network in Flemish Brabant is also joined up with the cycling network of the surrounding regions: Antwerp, Limburg, East Flanders, Hainaut, Walloon Brabant and Liège. The network also connects to the Green Walk, a stunning walking and cycling route through the finest parks and stretches of nature around Brussels. Also new on the cycling map is the connection to the digital cycling network in the Brussels-Capital Region.
