How to get around our city
By bicycle
The entire inner city of Halle is a bicycle priority zone. Motorised traffic is still welcome on our streets, of course, but cars will need to stay behind any cyclists they encounter. That way, the city centre is safe and accessible for everyone.
Rent a bike
A Blue-bike point offering bicycle rental at affordable rates is available within walking distance of the station. For more information and to see the number of bikes available, take a look on the Blue-bike website.
Park your bike securely
Park your trusty steed at one of your (covered) bicycle parking facilities. Take a look at our digital city map to find the nearest parking spot. Tyre gone flat? Our city map also shows the locations of our public bicycle pumps!
On foot
Our car-free inner city is fully geared towards pedestrians (and cyclists), so exploring Halle on foot is a pleasure. The city centre is just 1.5 km across, which means walking from the edge to the heart of the city takes no more than ten minutes from any direction.
Shuttel bus
Our shuttle bus brings visitors into the city centre free of charge every Thursday between 09:00 and 14:00, and every Saturday between 09:00 and 18:00. The shuttle bus stops every 15 minutes at the following stops: Parking Nederhem, roundabout Vandenpeereboomstraat, Halle Station, Suikerkaai, Basiliekstraat, Leide, Slingerweg.
